About Najoom Music Products, Inc.

Najoom Music Products, Inc. was started in 1997 by Dennis Najoom, Co-principle Trumpet of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. An incurable tinkerer, he came up with a trumpet leadpipe and receiver that were so successful that he converted all of his trumpets to include them. The combination proved so successful that other trumpet players were asking him to rig their horns as well. Word spread, and Najoom Music Products, Inc. was born.

We are a small company located in southeastern Wisconsin. We sell exclusively though our dealer network, or, where there is no dealer, we will sell mail order. Right now our emphasis is products for trumpets and cornets, however, we plan to expand to other brass instruments soon, then all woodwind instruments, and eventually, all musical instruments.

About Dennis Najoom

Dennis Najoom has been chopping up trumpets for the past 35 years and has worked with various trumpet manufacturers since coming to play with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in 1970. Apart from performing, designing and customizing trumpets and trumpet parts has always been his passion. Najoom Music Products, Inc. was formed when more and more people began to ask to purchase trumpet accessories he had originally made for himself. The Mid-west has provided fertile ground for him, as it is close to many major brass instrument manufacturers and machine shops familiar with making parts for musical instruments.

A member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for nearly 30 years, Mr. Najoom currently holds the position of Co-principal Trumpet. Throughout his career, he has been active as a soloist, performing with many ensembles and symphony orchestras, including duo performances with Doc Severinson and Marvin Stamm. His recordings include over twenty albums with various ensembles.

Mr. Najoom is currently the Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. He has taught trumpet and/or given master classes at most of the prominent music schools throughout the United States and Canada including among others; Tanglewood Music Center, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music, University of North Texas.

An incurable trumpet tinkerer, Dennis Najoom owns Najoom Music Products, Inc., a small company that sells instrument parts of his exclusive design. Some of his more well known products include the Najoom® Leadpipe and Najoom® Custom Mouthpiece.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he began his trumpet studies at age nine, eventually studying with many of the world’s great trumpet teachers and performers including Robert Nagel, Roger Voisin, Armando Ghitalla, Seymour Rosenfeld, Arnold Jacobs, and Mel Broils.

While attending Hartt College of Music he was awarded a position in the Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship Orchestra for two summers, as well as a position in the Hartford Symphony. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, at age 23 he won the position of Assistant Principal Trumpet with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Dennis Najoom performs exclusively on the French Besson Classic C and Bb trumpets that he designed for Boosey & Hawkes. He has designed the following Besson trumpets for Boosey & Hawkes;
